This review the influence of reducing the etching time on the dentine of primary teeth for bonding with etch-and-rinse and self-etching adhesive systems included 8 laboratory studies. The findings suggest that that reductions in acid-etching and primer application did not impact the immediate bond strength.

Manas Dave in his debut blog for the Dental Elf looks at a review on bonding of adhesive materials to molar-incisor hypomineralisation (MIH) affected enamel. 10 studies were included only 4 of which were clinical so the findings need to be interpreted cautiously.

This review of the impact of eugenol-based sealers on the bond strengths for fibre posts cemented to root canals included 9 in-vitro studies. The eugenol-based sealants reduced the bond strength by 0.8 MPa.

This review of in-vitro studies included 9 studies and found photo-curing time, force location, bracket area, and crosshead speed of the testing machine affected sheer bond strength. Use of adhesive resin primer did not affect bond strength.
