The 8th World Congress on Active Ageing will be taking place in 13-17th August 2012 in the City of Glasgow, Scotland. Held every 4 years, this showcase event will take place over 5 days in the prestigious Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre adjacent to the historic River Clyde. It presents a unique opportunity to bring together scientists and practitioners, experts and enthusiasts from a range of professional interests and disciplines involved in the promotion of Active Ageing. The Musculoskeletal Elf will be presenting the results of two of our Cochrane reviews on exercise and will also be facilitating a workshop on ‘measuring functional ability‘ (the topic of forthcoming blog). One of these Cochrane reviews was the subject of a blog by the Lifestyle Elf and was how I was introduced to the National Elf Service and became an Elf!! so watch out!
I look forward to seeing you there or joining us on twitter during the congress. If you bump into me then please do say hello!
PS: I won’t be wearing my Elf costume!
