I am a global mental health academic and did my PhD in Psychiatry from University of Liverpool, UK. I am an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry and the founding director of Global Institute of Human Development, Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University, Pakistan (www.gihd.stmu.edu.pk). My interest in academic psychiatry and Global Mental Health research was kindled by witnessing the inequity in the provision of evidence based mental health care in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs).
In their debut blog, Zill-e-Huma & colleagues explore a systematic review finding family interventions beneficial for child anxiety and depression in low and middle income countries.
