Sophie is an NIHR-funded PhD candidate in Mental Health Epidemiology and Immunopsychiatry at the University of Bristol. She is interested in how early-life experiences impact the immune system and can be used to predict subsequent mental illness. Sophie has an MSc in Epidemiology and a BSc in Neuroscience. Before her PhD she worked for 10 years in scientific and research roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
