Nuala Murray
Nuala Murray is a medical doctor and psychiatrist in training at the College of Psychiatrists of Ireland. She works as a specialist registrar in psychiatry for the HSE Ireland. Her research interests include psychosis, schizophrenia, pathways to care within the Irish health system, the impact of the gut microbiome on the brain and behaviour, and associations with alterations in gut microbiota and mental disorders. Her academic affiliations include the Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Science at University College Cork and RISE Early Intervention in Psychosis Service, South Lee Mental Health Services, Cork. She has published a systematic review and meta-analysis of the compositional and functional alterations in intestinal microbiota in patients with psychosis or schizophrenia.
