Nora Skjerdingstad is a DPhil (PhD) student in Experimental Psychology at
the University of Oxford, working within the Cognitive and Behavioural Approaches to
Mental Health in Young People (CAMY) research group and The Oxford Psychological
Interventions for Children and adolescents (TOPIC) research group. Her research
focuses on how young people’s social media experiences and behaviours relate to
mental health, with a particular focus on social anxiety. She is supervised by Dr. Eleanor
Leigh and Professor Cathy Creswell and her work is funded by the Aker Scholarship.
Nora Skjerdingstad presents a recent study that the explores the constant feedback we encounter on social media platforms, and the impact that ‘likes’ can have on adults and young people.
