Niamh is a postdoctoral researcher, currently working in King’s College London. She completed her PhD with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2022, which was about understanding the prenatal origins of mental health problems. Since then, she has been using large surveys of children and teenagers across Ireland to better understand how and why mental health problems begin. She has secured a DOROTHY fellowship for 2024-2027 to investigate why teenage mental health has deteriorated over the past decade.
