I studied medicine at Oxford University, and subsequently worked as a psychiatrist on the North London training scheme. From 2010 to 2014, I was a Senior Editor at The Lancet; in 2014, I founded The Lancet Psychiatry, which I edited until 2021. I am currently Head of Field Building in Mental Health at Wellcome. I'm particularly interested in how we can synthesise evidence to make research faster, easier, and more reliable.
