Justin is a final year PhD study in the Division of Psychiatry, UCL. His PhD project explores the role of monitoring technology in observing awareness in people with severe dementia, with a particular focus on the Bispectral Index (BIS) technology. His research includes a combination of observations, interviews, and surveys with various stakeholders to establish the acceptability and feasibility of implementing such device in a care home setting. His other research interest includes palliative care and pain management in people with severe dementia.
