Heike is a Lecturer in Human Resource Management at Queen's Management School. Her research interests are in International and Comparative Human Resource Management. She specifically investigates the effects of demographic change and workforce ageing on public (government) policy, firm-level HRM and career outcomes of older workers. Her research covers the country cases of Germany, Austria, the UK, Japan and South Korea. She uses a multi-level perspective to explore how stakeholders at different levels of analysis interact and influence one another. She draws on interdisciplinary theoretical approaches and mostly uses qualitative research methods (including stakeholder interviews, life history interviews and focus groups).
