Gemma is a PhD student at the University of Bristol and her previous research experience covers a number of different topics including menstruation, maternal psychopathology and offspring outcomes, and the mental health impacts of cannabis use. Some of this work is published and some is ongoing (see website for ORCID profile). Her PhD is exploring the possible bidirectional relationships between a variety of menstrual cycle symptoms and socioeconomic disadvantage using cohort data and a combination of observational and genetic methods.
