Belle Boland (she/they) is a Youth Peer Worker at Orygen, working on a research project based in a primary care service, and a Peer Worker at Austin Health’s adolescent psychiatric inpatient unit and across their youth community teams. These roles allow a continuity of care, and experience across primary, tertiary, and acute health care settings, whilst focusing on exploring the utilisation of Youth Peer Work within the mental health system. This complements her lived experience of receiving care in these settings, after recovering from anorexia nervosa and entering remission from complex-PTSD. Belle is interested in youth peer work, lived experience, eating disorders, trauma, inpatient, community and compulsory treatment.
