Anne-Laura van Harmelen
Anne-Laura is a Senior Research Fellow in the department of Psychiatry at the University of Cambridge. Van Harmelen received her PhD in December 2013 at Leiden University, the Netherlands. She received a Rubicon Fellowship to conduct a postdoc at the University of Cambridge in Ian Goodyer’s group. In 2016, she received a Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Fellowship to set up her own research line in the department of Psychiatry. She recently received an MQ Brighter Futures award to lead an international consortium examining adolescent suicide behaviour. Van Harmelen’s research aims to understand the neurocognitive and social mechanisms of vulnerability and resilience after early life stress.
