Christine Purdon
I completed my MA and PhD under the supervision of Dr. David A. Clark, studying obsessional thoughts and thought suppression. After completing my Clinical Internship at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health under the supervision of Dr. Martin Antony, I joined the Department of Psychology at the University of Waterloo, where I have studied anxiety, obsessions, compulsions, and OCD for the past 25 years. I teach our program’s course in cognitive behaviour therapy, supervise students in treatment of anxiety and related difficulties, and provide treatment. My research informs my clinical practice and my clinical practice informs my program of research.
