Jess is a post-doctoral researcher at King’s College London and an Associate Fellow at the University of Nottingham. Prior to these roles, she was an ESRC funded PhD researcher based at the Institute for Mental Health (University of Birmingham) and the Self-Harm Research Group (University of Nottingham). Her PhD focuses on self-harm and suicide within LGBTQ+ young people. She previously worked at Nottingham Trent University and the University of Aberdeen on a variety of health, clinical and forensic projects. During her undergraduate and Master’s degrees, she worked as a Research Intern for the Self-Harm Research Group. Jess maintains collaborations nationally and internationally, working on multiple topics.
