This review of techniques and materials used for the management of deep caries in immature permanent teeth included 12 RCT papers. The findings suggest high success rates for pulpotomy, but only a small number of papers were available for other techniques.
This review of the efficacy and cost-effectiveness of pulpotomy and associated medicaments in permanent teeth with pulp exposure included 17 RCTs some os which are still ongoing. The findings suggest that pulpotomy may be a potential treatment option for permanent teeth but more research is needed.
This Cochrane review of effectiveness of different fluoride concentrations of toothpaste in reducing dental caries updates the 2010 review and includes 96 RCTs. It provideds good evidence to support the benefits of using fluoride toothpaste in preventing caries and demonstrates a does response effect.
Only 2 RCTs are included in this Cochrane review update of the effects of systemic antibiotics on adults with symptomatic apical periodontitis or acute apical abscess providing insufficient evidence of effectiveness.

15 RCTs were included in this Cochrane review of Atraumatic Restorative Treatment (ART) comparing with conventional treatment for managing dental caries lesions in the primary and permanent teeth provided low quality evidence that ART using H-GIC may have a higher risk of restoration failure in primary teeth.
